He is an affiliate member of the Australian institute of Architects & a participant of the (PALS) Practice of Architecture Learning Series

Allan is a graduate of architecture from the University of Technology Sydney, Allan is not a registered architect. There is no legal requirement to do so.

Allan Nicholls commenced his career as a structural drafting cadet with the leading Sydney engineers Miller Milston & Ferris working on the High Court of Australia & the National Art Gallery in Canberra.

He turned to architecture and studied Architecture at the University of Technology Sydney, graduating as a mature aged student in 2003. He spent over 20 years learning from many leading Sydney architecture practices working in senior roles and the NSW government in hospitality, heritage, industrial, commercial office fitouts and project management. He assisted in prestigious projects such as the re-design of Darling Harbour, New Wests Leagues Club, Paddy’s Market City redevelopment, conversion of the historic Sydney Radisson Plaza Hotel.

More recently as design director, he specialised in residential practice as director, designing over 300 projects, matching client requirements with budget, planning instruments. building codes, market standards and negotiating with councils and builders.
