Commercial & Residential | 80 Campbell Pde Bondi Beach

This project was required major structural work due to the owner requirements to remove the center stair from the ground floor to allow for a greater clear span without the stair shaft in the new retail part below on the ground floor.

The 2nd part of the design brief was to convert the existing residential 1st floor level for commercial use. A new reinforced contract slab was laid over ground floor front retail space to form additional external seating to the new 1st floor. The 3rd part of the design brief was top add an additional residential part to the roof of the structure creating an additional level.

The result was a pleasing addition to the street scape but building on the previous precedent of its floor balcony type restaurant seating. A new restaurant was added to the ground floor which was later changed to retail use.
